Paying your council tax

Council tax can be paid in 10 monthly instalments or 12 monthly instalments if you pay by Direct Debit.

If you opt for direct debit you can choose to pay on the 1st, 15th or 25th of the month.

You can also pay your bill in two half yearly amounts or one annual amount by arrangement.  Plase notify the council tax section of your chosen option.

Ways to pay your council tax:

Direct Debit

If you pay by Direct Debit you have a choice of payment dates - 1st, 15th or 25th of the month.  Additionally you are allowed to pay in twelve instalments, which reduces the monthly amount you need to pay.  Cash payers must pay their bill in ten instalments on the 1st of each month.

Paying by Direct Debit means you are allowed twelve instalments, which reduces the monthly amount you need to pay.

If you have not yet opted for Direct Debit, you can obtain a form by:

Completed forms are to be returned to the Council either in person or by post.

Other ways to pay
