How to make an application

Residents living in the Borough who need help paying rent and/or council tax can make an application for benefit. Forms are available from the main Council Offices and the one stop shops or you can download a claim form here.

Benefits Consultative Panel

The Council values any comments made about the Benefits Service. Every six months the Benefits Consultative Panel is held where the Council:

  • Listens to service user's views about the standard of the service
  • Seeks views on any projects that are planned
  • Keeps users informed about problems being experienced and changes to the benefits scheme.
