The Broxbourne Leisure Pool site is approximately 11 hectares in area and is owned by the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority. To discuss proposals directly with the owner, please contact Stephen Wilkinson at the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority on 01992 709828 or email swilkinson@leevalleypark.org.uk.

This site is suitable for the development of leisure facilities or small business premises. The area available for development is outlined in white on the above image. Any re-development would need to take into account the following town planning policies:

The Council’s aims for the area include protecting the landscape of the Lee Valley Regional Park whilst regenerating and replacing the leisure facilities and a degree of employment due to the loss of the leisure pool. This will include a mix of leisure facilities for all age groups as well as improving access and information about the Lee Valley Regional Park.

The Council would like to see the use of Broxbourne train station as one of the main transport links to the area bringing in additional people from London and the northern parts of the region. Any parking facilities should not cause an inconvenience to local residents in nearby areas.

The Council will expect any scheme to take into account sustainability considerations and ensure that any impacts of the development on the amenity of the surrounding area are minimised.
