The Hazlemere Marina site is 1.4 hectares in area
and is owned by British Waterways. To discuss

This site is suitable for the development of housing, a
hotel, a restaurant or offices. The area available for
development is shaded in red on the above plan. Any
re-development would need to take into account the following town
planning policies:
The Council would expect
any scheme to provide a high quality waterside re-development
which would enhance the Station Road frontage, contribute to the
overall renaissance of the Waltham
Cross area and provide affordable housing and other community
benefits. The re-development should include improving pedestrian
access linkages to the White Water Canoe Centre, improving links to
the Gunpowder Mills heritage attraction and historic Waltham Abbey
and enhancing opportunities for walking and cycling through the Lee
Valley.
