Tenders and contracts

Advice and guidance on how to apply for council contracts

Computer Keyboard

The Council uses a wide range of contractors  to provide services, materials and products in support of its business.  Current contract opportunities are also listed in this section.

You can also declare your interest in an application and download tender documents. We have produced a Selling to the Council guide that provides information on how to apply for council contracts. The Council's procurement strategy, which explains the process by which the Council obtains the goods, works and services it requires can be viewed in the related links section.

Please note that the Council does not maintain a list of approved suppliers; all contracts above £10,000 in value are competitively tendered.  Opportunities advertised by the public sector across Hertfordshire can be accessed via the Supply Hertfordshire website.

The government provide an online procurement course 'Winning the Contract'.  This is a free resource to help businesses (and in particular SMEs) learn about public procurement and how to bid for public sector contracts.  The course can be accessed via the Business Link website.
