Join Broxbourne’s ‘Fun Run Filled With Fizz’

As part of Hertfordshire’s Year of Physical Activity and This Girl Can in Herts Week, females and their families are being invited to join Broxbourne’s first ever Prosecco Run. It will take place on Sunday 24 June, 10am from Broxbourne Recreational Park.

With a love of both running and Prosecco, Lucy Kennedy of LK Fitness created the ‘Fun Run Filled with Fizz’. The plan was hatched while running in Broxbourne, where Lucy found many women she met lacked the confidence to join her.

Step up to be a sports champion

People of Broxbourne have the chance to make a difference in their community by becoming a Hertfordshire Year of Physical Activity (YOPA) Champion.
The Herts Sports Partnership is seeking 200 volunteers to help support sport and physical activity across the county, with training for the roles taking place at workshops in Hoddesdon on 27 June and Cheshunt on 4 July.
Without support, some community clubs and voluntary groups could be forced to close, so volunteers play a vital role in enabling these organisations to continue helping others to part
