Responsible recycling in Broxbourne

It’s important for everyone to do their bit by recycling what they can and of course by recycling responsibly.

Broxbourne residents should make full use of the kerbside recycling service, which can be used to recycle plastics and cans, paper and cardboard and glass. Non-recyclable domestic waste should be placed in the black wheeled bin as no side/surplus waste will be collected. Food waste should be put out for collection, weekly, in the brown caddy.

Cracking down on fly-tipping at Recycling Points

It is an offence to fly-tip and one that Broxbourne Council, along with its Hertfordshire partners, takes very seriously.

In an effort to crack down on incidents of costly and unsightly fly-tipping at the Borough’s Recycling Point facilities, the Council installed overt CCTV cameras at a number of these sites last year.  The aim is to deter people from dumping household waste and non-recyclables at these centres and to help identify and successfully prosecute offenders.
