Broxbourne Council has launched two grants schemes designed to leave a legacy in the Borough following the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June and the London 2012 Games that commence a month later in July.

The first is the ‘Olympic and Diamond Jubilee Small Grants Scheme’.

This scheme allows residents to apply for grants of up to £500 to contribute towards the cost of holding community events and activities including street parties to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Games. Events and activities may be held on either the Diamond Jubilee weekend or before, during and after the Games.

The applications deadline for events relating to the Diamond Jubilee is Friday 11 May.

The second is the ‘Olympic and Paralympic Hopefuls Scheme’.

This scheme allows local athletes who have the potential to compete in future international competitions to apply for up to £1,000 of funding to contribute towards the cost of equipment, kit and training.

These grants schemes will complement other funding opportunities already available to athletes and sports clubs in the Borough, including the Hertfordshire Talented Athlete Programme, The Sport England Small Grants Programme,  Sportsmatch, Cash 4 Clubs and others.

To apply, please download the relevant guidance notes and forms from the Related Links section to the right of the page. Applications may be either submitted by post or electronically via the e-forms.
