Broxbourne in Bloom 2013

What is Broxbourne in Bloom about?

Broxbourne in Bloom is about making the Borough look its best. It is an annual competition open to all residents, schools, businesses and community groups within the Borough of Broxbourne. There is a full range of categories and prizes on offer for winners.

The winning artists of this year’s Broxbourne in Bloom school poster competition have been chosen. Over 250 drawings and collages received by Broxbourne Council and Portfolio holder for Leisure and Recreation, Councillor Hazel Jackson, shortlisted the winners.  

 

Eight schools took part this year. The winners are as follows:

 

Key stage 1 (up to year two)

 

First place - Emilia Obarowska (Millbrook Primary school)

Second place - Vasilis Marcos (Millbrook Primary school)

Third place - Mia Antonisu (Millbrook Primary school)

 

Key stage 2 (up to year six)

 

First place and overall winner - Annabella Filocco (St. Augustine’s R.C. Primary School)

Second place - Martina Sanzeri (St. Augustine’s R.C. Primary School)

Joint third place - Antonio Moscaritolo (Burleigh Primary School) and Amber Harrold (Downfield Primary School)

The prize was two tickets to any activity featured in the May to August Children and Families Guide, which will be published at the end of April.

 

The young winners of each age group were awarded a certificate and a copy of the poster with the winning artwork by Mayor of Broxbourne, Councillor Eddy Rowland during assembly at their school.
