The Police and Council received numerous
complaints from the community about anti-social behaviour,
mainly sexual, taking place in the car park and surrounding open
fields at Baas Hill Open Space, Broxbourne Woods. The car park was
also in a poor state of repair. The main concern was that those
participating in such activities were able to flee the area quickly
should the police arrive. Therefore, a metal gate was
installed at the entrance to the area so that vehicles
could not be driven to the bottom of the fields. The total cost of
this project was £849.
