Dark Lane and Franklin Avenue
 |
| Before - anti-social behaviour occurred in the alleyway |
 |
| After - restricted access to the alleyway |
The Council received reports from residents of
youths causing anti-social behaviour in the alleyway
running alongside 84 Franklin Avenue as well as incidents of
fly-tipping. The Council installed a two metre high,
robust chain link fence along the side of 84 Franklin Avenue and a
lockable gate so that the alleyway is only accessible to
residents to the rear of their properties. An environmental
clean up of the area was carried out under the community payback scheme, before the gating/fencing
project commenced. The project cost was £1,090 and Broxbourne
Housing Association match funded the Council, as a number of
their residents benefited from this scheme.
