The Council and Police received reports from
the community that motor cyclists were ‘cutting’ through the
Rosedale Estate using the Stockwell Lane and Andrews
Lane pedestrian footpaths. The Council was approached by
residents regarding possible measures to tackle the problem, in
particular the installation of kissing gates and/or motor cycle
inhibitors. Eight staggered barriers were erected in Stockwell
Lane and Andrews Lane at a total cost of £7,985.
