Equal Pay
The Council is currently undertaking an Equal
Pay exercise to ensure that men and women are paid the same for
work of the same value – further details will be published at the
conclusion of this exercise.
Data collection, analysis and target setting
The Council will review its arrangements for
collecting data on the protected characteristics of its
staff. Where gaps in the data are identified, the
Council will take steps to address them. The data the Council
does have will be used to help the Council:
- Eliminate unlawful discrimination,
harassment and victimisation and other conduct prohibited by the
Act.
- Advance equality of opportunity
between people who share a protected characteristic and those who
do not.
- Foster good relations between
people who share a protected characteristic and those who do
not.
