There are miles of public footpaths to explore in and around the Borough of Broxbourne, including the Lee Valley Regional Park and Hertfordshire Way. A regular programme of guided walks is available. The Borough also contains almost 290 hectares (716 acres) of parkland and open space.

The Grundy Park Leisure Centre and The John Warner Sports Centre offer a range of leisure activities, including swimming, gym and racket sport facilities.

The Lee Valley White Water Centre is being built for the 2012 Olympic Games. The centre will open for public use in Spring 2011 and will provide a world class facility for white water rafting, canoeing and kayaking.
