Civic Awards

Each year the Council makes an annual award at the Civic Awards - to a person who has given outstanding service to the community.  On some occasions, several nominees receive civic awards which are usually presented at the Council's Christmas Reception in December.  In addition the Council also presents the Dame Marion Roe Young Citizens award to a young person in the Borough who has also given outstanding service to the community.  The Young Citizens Award was set up by Dame Marion to mark her retirement as a long serving Member of Parliament for the Broxbourne constituency.

Previous winners of a Civic Award and the Young Persons award since 2005 can be viewed in the related links section of this page.

The Council would welcome nominations throughout the year for suggested recipients of a Civic Award or the Dame Marion Roe Young Citizens Award.

To nominate someone who has given outstanding service to the Community for an award, please write to the Chief Executive Officer at the Borough Offices, Bishops' College, Churchgate, Cheshunt, Herts, EN8 9XQ or email ceo@broxbourne.gov.uk
