Independent Remuneration Panel
There is a statutory requirement for the Council to appoint a
panel of independent people known as the Independent Remuneration
Panel to advise on a scheme of allowances and the amounts to be
paid to councillors. The Council must have regard to this advice in
making its decision on the scheme.
