Mission and constitution

The Council's Vision Statement is:

 

'Our vision is for the Borough of Broxbourne to be a pleasant place where people want to live, work and play; in which people respect each other and feel part of a vibrant, caring community.

 

Our ambition is to be the best, and to offer an excellent service to the public. To achieve this we will:

 

• Listen to the community

• Make prudent and effective use of resources

• Work with partners to maximise our impact

• Continually improve our services

• Enable all to fulfil their potential'

 

The Council's Mission Statement is:

 

"The mission of Broxbourne Council is to serve the public and to meet our statutory responsibilities with economy, efficiency and effectiveness.

 

We will do this with integrity, common sense and sound judgement. We will be courteous and patient and act in a professional and caring manner.

 

We will strive to meet the needs of the public and to reflect the priorities of the community in a balanced and fair way. We will respond to well-founded criticism with a willingness to listen, learn, do better and change if necessary.."
