Neighbourhood forums
There are six neighbourhood forums covering the Borough.
Each group meets twice a year:
- Cheshunt covers the Bury Green, Cheshunt and
Theobalds wards
- GOFER covers the Goffs Oak, Flamstead End
and Rosedale wards
- Hoddeson North covers the Hoddesdon North and
Rye Park wards
- Hoddesdon Town covers the Hoddeson Town
and the Broxbourne wards
- Waltham Cross covers the Waltham Cross
ward
- Wormley and Turnford covers the Wormley and
Turnford ward and the Cheshunt North ward
The aim of the groups is to encourage the public’s engagement in
creating safer communities across the Borough. They consider local
solutions to anti-social behaviour problems to help reduce the
level of crime and fear of crime in the neighbourhood. A range of
local issues has been examined over recent months, including
nuisance youths, vandalism, illegal parking and under age
drinking. The groups consist of members of the public, and
representatives of the Council and police. Issues other than
those relating to community safety may also be discussed.
