Methods of payment
Payment Cards
Barcoded Bills
The Council have added a barcode to the council tax bills for
2012/13 to enable customers to pay at the Post Office, any Paypoint
outlet and the Kiosk in the main borough offices without a payment
card.
Payment Cards
You may pay using a payment card at the Kiosk in the main
Council offices, or at the one stop shops, the Post Office and
at any Paypoint outlet.
Please ring the Council's helpline on 01992 785577 to request a
payment card. The cards contain your council tax reference number
and your name to ensure your payments are correctly allocated to
your account, The cards are designed to be kept from year to year
but should a new council tax account be set up because you have
moved, changed your name or the liable party has changed you will
need a new card.
Post Office
With your council tax payment card you can pay at any Post
Office counter by cash, cheque, postal order or debit/credit card
payment.
Paypoint
Paypoint can be found in newsagents, convenience stores, garages
and off-licenses, many of which are open outside normal office
hours. There is a good choice of Paypoint outlets within the
Borough and 19,000 nationwide. To find your local Post Office or
