Welcome to the Borough of Broxbourne
The Council has published
the pre-submission version of the Core
Strategy, which sets out a vision for the future of
Broxbourne. Representations from the public and businesses
can be made until Friday 15 October.
The Strategy identifies the main challenges
and key drivers of change over the next 15 years. It sets out
clear plans to guide new development, regenerate neighbourhoods,
improve services and facilities and protect the environment.
It is an ambitious but realistic plan for Broxbourne to become a
more prosperous and sustainable community.
The Council has launched a widespread publicity campaign to
inform residents of the increased environmental enforcement from
September 2010 as part of the Council’s partnership with XFOR.
The White Water Canoe Slalom events at the London 2012 Olympic
Games will take place at Lee Valley White Water Centre near Waltham
Cross, in the heart of Lee Valley Regional Park.
New images released by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) show
water now beginning to fill the new white water canoe centre
for the London 2012 Games. The venue is on track to be completed
later this year as the first brand new 2012 venue to be
finished.
