The Council’s in-house contractor, Broxbourne Services,
completed scheduled refuse collections as normal on Monday 6
February despite heavy snowfall over the weekend.
The majority of kerbside recycling and green waste collections
were also completed, with just a small number of roads made
inaccessible by the conditions.
Broxbourne Council has launched
two grants schemes designed to leave a legacy in the Borough
following the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June and the London 2012
Games that commence a month later in July.
The grants are intended to aid local athletes and help
communities celebrate through commemorative events, including

As from Wednesday 1 February, all three of the
Council’s one stop shops will no longer take cash. 
All existing services will remain and the
Council will continue to provide customer service advisors at each
of the one stop shops in Hoddesdon, Waltham Cross and Cheshunt.
Residents will still be able to pay with debit and credit cards
and cheques.
