Education and learning
Most education services are delivered locally by
Hertfordshire County Council's Children, Schools and Families
department. The department brings together the services provided by
the County Council's former education department and the children
and families part of social services.
The Borough is also home to the main
site of Hertford Regional College. The college, which also has
smaller centres in Waltham Cross, Bishop's Stortford and
Ware, offers academic and vocational courses in a wide
variety of areas. It also has work-based learning provision in
engineering, construction, accounting, business administration
and catering.
