Aims and objectives

Our purpose is:

to provide a safe, sustainable and functional built environment for the residents and visitors of Broxbourne.

to ensure that building work within Broxbourne meets the required standards for health and safety, energy conservation and access to and use of the building
to provide a 24 hour, 365 day response to buildings or other structures that are reported as dangerous to ensure that any danger is removed
to control the way in which buildings are demolished to protect the safety and amenity of neighbours and the general public
to promote and encourage quality building and development
to educate and inform the public, encouraging good building practise
to contribute to improving opportunities and quality of life in Broxbourne
