How long does a decision take?

Engineers discussing technical issuesFor a full plans application the Council is required to give written notice of the passing or rejection of plans within five weeks of their deposit, unless it is agreed in writing that the period be extended to a maximum of two calendar months from the date of the application.

Every effort is made by negotiation to pass the plan within the prescribed period. If the Council rejects your plan under a full plans submission, you may resubmit with revisions or ask the Secretary of State to determine the issue following the procedures contained in the legislation.
