Parking bays and assistance to the disabled

Salisbury crescent parking baysThe Council has a budget of £102,500 for 2000/11 to be spent in various locations throughout the Borough, dependent upon public demand for parking bays and assistance to the disabled.  Should you wish to suggest locations for parking bays or pavements requiring dropped  kerbs please contact the Council Helpline on 01992 785577 or by email to:

Assistance to the disabled

Dropped Kerb for wheelchair or pram accessDropped kerbs will provide improved access to town centres, local shops and other facilities for the ambulant disabled, wheelchairs and parents with buggies. 

From 2 August 2010 if vehicles are obstructing dropped kerbs they can be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.  Please ring the Council's Helpline on 01992 785577 to report vehicles causing an obstruction.
