Additional police community support officers

Hoddesdon gallery - looking to the future

The Local Strategic Partnership has allocated funding until 2013 for an additional police community support officer (PCSO) in Hoddesdon town centre. The Hertfordshire Constabulary will match fund this post, so the Borough will also gain a further PCSO. The new PCSOs commenced work in June 2010. The Council temporarily installed a redeployable CCTV camera in Hoddesdon town centre in August 2010 to monitor the area around the Clock Tower, before it was deployed across other areas in the Borough. A number of community payback projects have taken place in the vicinity of Hoddesdon town centre. These include the cleaning of Woollens Brook from the A10 link road to Amwell Street, the cleaning and litter picking of Spital Brook and litter picking and environmental cutback in Barclay Park.
