Tower Centre
The Tower Centre has the potential to offer a significant amount
of retail space. Major refurbishment was carried out by the
previous owners, UBS Triton, in early 2009 to improve circulation
and create larger units that are more popular with national
retailers. Centros purchased the Tower Centre in April 2010.
Centros are urban regeneration specialists and have successfully
redeveloped shopping centres in town and city centres throughout
the UK. Centros held a public exhibition in April 2011
on their plans for the redevelopment of the Tower Centre. The
Council granted planning permission in September 2011 and it is
anticipated that Centros will commence development in spring/summer
2012, with completion by the end of 2013.
