Planning permission was granted in April 2005 for a medical centre, 47 flats, a floor of small office suites, shops, a café kiosk and 50 underground car parking spaces. The developer of the scheme has since gone into administration. It is possible the Council could consider purchasing the development (subject to contract and valuation) in an attempt to secure an early completion of the scheme.
