Parking
Broxbourne Borough Council is
responsible for the implementation (in conjunction with Herts
County Council) and enforcement of parking contraventions in the
Council's car parks and on street.
Enforcement is carried out under
what is known as Civil Parking Enforcement, which is governed
by The Traffic Management Act 2004.
The purpose of parking enforcement
is to provide better traffic management to encourage sensible and
safer parking, to improve traffic flow, highway safety and increase
the availability of parking spaces.
