Charges in the Council's public pay
and display car parks
The Council runs 12 car parks
throughout the Borough, the majority being pay and display. Seven
of these car parks are accredited with the 'Park Mark' safer parking
award
A new pay and display car park has
recently opened in Station Approach, Waltham Cross aimed at
assisting commuters who use Waltham Cross Station. Plans are being
made to extend this car park in the future.
Broxbourne Council has an agreement
with the Lea Valley Regional Park Authority to manage the car
park at the former Lido site in Old Nazeing Road,
Broxbourne. This car park is now pay and display.
Motorcycles may park free of charge iif parked in a dedicated
motorcycle bay.
There is no charge for a disabled persons badge holder to park
in the Council's car parks although this does not include
reserved/permit bays.

Leased Bays in Council car parks for businesses and
local employees:
Annual charge £430.00
Charges in private car parks are determined by the land owner.
Council car parks are run in accordance with the Borough of
Broxbourne Parking Places Order 2008.
Contraventions
A penalty charge notice (PCN) will be
issued if:
- Parked in a disabled person's parking space without clearly
displaying a valid disabled person's badge
- Parked in a reserved bay/restricted area/on a yellow line.
- Parked causing an obstruction
- Parked during chargeable hours without displaying a valid pay
and display ticket.
- Not parked wholly within the bay markings.
- Parked after the expiry of time paid for.
- Parked within one hour of a previous period of
waiting.
- Parked longer than 24 hours (six hours for Windmill Lane).
Parking for disabled drivers
This is free to assist disabled drivers and passengers, and
spaces are provided near to the pedestrian entrances to car parks.
These are for European Blue badge holders only.
