Planning Policy
The planning
policy team is responsible for planning policy in Broxbourne.
It is through the effective implementation of these policies that
the Council seeks to deliver sustainable development and
communities.
The adopted planning policies for shaping development in the
Borough are currently set out in the Local Plan Second Review which
was adopted in December 2005.
In 2004, the Government introduced a new planning system in
England called the Local Development Framework (LDF) which is what
we are working to currently. The LDF will be a 'portfolio' of
spatial planning documents
Consultation
The Council has published a consultation document which contains
the initial findings of the Strategic
Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA).
Online consultation portal
The planning policy team has created an online consultation
page which will allow the public and other stakeholders to
register their views on policy documents released for
consultation. To register your
comments or objections you must first register your
details where you will be asked to create a username and
password which will be used for all further consultations.
Free online help
is also available to guide you through the process of making
comments and managing your account.
