Planning Policy
The Planning Policy Team
The Planning Policy Team is responsible for
preparing, monitoring and updating planning policies in
Broxbourne. It is through the effective implementation of
these policies that the Council seeks to create prosperous and
sustainable communities.
The adopted planning policies for shaping
development in the borough are currently set out in the Broxbourne Local Plan Second Review which was
adopted in December 2005.
In 2004, the Government introduced a new
planning system called the Local
Development Framework (LDF) which comprises a portfolio of
planning documents including a Core Strategy, Site Allocation DPD
and Development Control Policies DPD.
