The planning policy team
The planning policy team is responsible for preparing,
monitoring and updating planning policies in Broxbourne. It
is through the effective implementation of these policies that the
Council seeks to create prosperous and sustainable communities.
The adopted planning policies for shaping
development in the Borough are currently set out in the Broxbourne local plan second review which was
adopted in December 2005.
In 2004, the Government introduced a new
planning system called the Local
Development Framework (LDF) which comprises a portfolio of
planning documents including a Core Strategy, Site Allocation DPD
and Development Control Policies DPD.
News and consultations
The Council has received the Final inspector's
report into the Core Strategy.
The Hoddesdon Business Park draft improvement
plan has been published for consultation ending 10
February 2012.
The local
list, which protects buildings and structures for their local
value, has been adopted.
Hertford Regional College’s Broxbourne Campus in Turnford and
the Lee Valley White Water Centre in Waltham Cross both received
accolades at the prestigious bi-annual Hertfordshire Building Futures
Award.
The Council has responded to the Hertfordshire Flood Risk Management
Strategy.
