Planning Policy

Fawlkon walk The planning policy team is responsible for planning policy in Broxbourne. It is through the effective implementation of these policies that the Council seeks to deliver sustainable development and communities.

The adopted planning policies for shaping development in the Borough are currently set out in the Local Plan Second Review which was adopted in December 2005.

In 2004, the Government introduced a new planning system in England called the Local Development Framework (LDF) which is what we are working to currently. The LDF will be a 'portfolio' of spatial planning documents.
