Local Investment Plan
The key purpose of the Local Investment Plan
is to identify a programme of investment priorities in Broxbourne
that will contribute to corporate and planning objectives for the
community.
The Plan will:
- provide a clear understanding of investment
priorities over the next 15 years
- demonstrate that investment priorities align
with national Government ambitions
- aid the delivery of major investment projects
flowing from the Broxbourne Core Strategy and the Broxbourne
Sustainable Community Strategy
- inform Broxbourne Council’s capital
programme
- help attract and support private sector
inward investment
- help attract and direct central Government
and other public sector funding and grants
- inform the negotiation of Section 106
planning contributions
- inform the establishment of a Community
Infrastructure Levy.
The Council will invite landowners, developers,
housebuilders, housing associations, statutory agencies, service
providers, local businesses, local societies and members of the
public to comment on the draft document when it is
published for consultation in summer 2011.
