Rolling out boroughwide - how and why
Due to the success of the pilots the scheme will be rolling out
boroughwide. Reducing waste and increasing recycling can help
deliver significant wins for the community such as:
- Throwing less away enabling more valuable material to be
recycled
- Keeping down the costs to local taxpayers
- Helping to cut the use of raw materials in industry and
conserve the world's natural resources
The following table shows how the purple and clear sacks will be
rolled out across the Borough in 2008/09.
