Clinical waste
Clinical waste is not acceptable waste for standard
domestic bins. We operate a waste collection service
for clinical waste from domestic properties. Clinical
waste includes syringes and needles, dressings and waste from
medical equipment.
The Council provides residents with a clinical waste sacks, or
sharps box collection service through our contractor Broxbourne
Services.
Clinical sacks
Clinical sacks are collected on a weekly basis. It is a
collect and replace service. Broxbourne Services will leave you
with the same amount of empty sacks as they picked up.
Sharps boxes
Sharps boxes are collected on an as required basis. Once
the box is nearly full we ask resident to give us a call and we
will collect on the next Thursday. This is also a collect and
replace service.
