Fly-posting
Placing
advertising signs on the highway for businesses, services or
an event, including birthday signs, is dangerous. They can
distract drivers, hide vital road safety signs and may cause
accidents. If permission from the Council has not been
granted, fly posting is illegal and the Council can remove the
posters.
Anyone found to be erecting posters will be liable to
receive a Fixed penalty Notice for £75. The Council will
consider taking legal action against offenders which could
lead to a £2,500 fine
