Broxbourne has joined a countywide scheme offering its
homeowners discounts on the installation of domestic insulation
measures to help reduce their heating bills.
Loft and cavity wall insulation are available for all homeowners
at a discounted rate. Further discounts are available to those
vulnerable homeowners who receive a stae benefit or who are over 70
years old.

provide professional installation of insulation at a
discounted rate.

If you are over 60, disabled
or chronically sick or have a family with children under 16
and are in receipt of a means tested benefit you may be eligible
for assistance with heating improvements and insulation in the
home.
Warmfront offers two types of grant:
- Up to £2,700 available if the main source of heating is not
working and is;- Gas room heaters, Closed solid fuel fires,
Electric storage heaters (off-peak), Central heating systems from
mains gas, oil or solid fuel.
- Up to £4,000 may be available if the main source of heating is;
On-peak electricity, Bottled gas, paraffin or open solid fuel
fire.
