Street cleansing improvements
In April 2011 the Council adopted a new area based approach to
cleansing the Borough with an emphasis on cleansing zones of roads
the day after a refuse collection. By focusing resources in one
area of the Borough at a time the Council expects to increase the
output of the street cleansing service. The Borough is now cleansed
on an eight week schedule instead of the previous 12 week
schedule.
