Nathanial Lichfield economic development study
The Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, in partnership with
nearby local authorities including Broxbourne Borough Council, has
appointed Nathanial Lichfield, town planning consultants, to
undertake an economic development study to identify measures that
can be put in place to maximise the potential of Waltham Cross and
the surrounding area as a leisure destination. The study began in
January 2011 and will investigate what complementary leisure,
tourism or other business facilities could be developed nearby to
the Centre to develop its role as a wider visitor destination that
generates more local employment and spending in the local economy.
The study will also examine lessons that can be learnt from other
white water centres in the UK and overseas.
