The Lee Valley
White Water Centre offers the potential to be a focus for the
regeneration of Waltham Cross and the wider area. This gallery
details the action that has been taken by the Council and its
partners thus far and outlines the work being undertaken to build
on the opportunities the Centre and the London 2012 Games brings. The Council is
preparing a Waltham Cross Town Centre
Strategy, which will build upon the Waltham Cross renaissance
programme of environmental improvements and regeneration efforts,
the Nathanial Lichfield economic development study and the
Waltham Cross and Cheshunt Urban Transport Plan, to outline the
way forward to ensure the character, well being and prosperity of
the area is transformed for the benefit of shoppers, visitors,
residents, traders and those working in the south of the
Borough.
