Food Safety Regulations

Food Law enforcement plan

Since April 2001, the Food Standards Agency has required all local authorities to produce a service plan setting out how food enforcement activities are to be delivered.  The plan was also required to provide details of the inspection programme.

The Council's Commercial Law Enforcement plan was approved by elected members in September 2006 and sets out how the Council will ensure the safety and wellbeing of the public, in relation to food safety issues.

The Commercial Law Enforcement Service Plan is under review.
