Cheshunt Community Hospital

Cheshunt Community Hospital underwent extensive redevelopment
during 2005 to double the size of the existing building and provide
more health services for the benefit of the local community.
Operation from the new building started at the beginning of
February 2006 and the whole site opened in June
2006.
The PCT are now progressing arrangements for the proposed
services from the extended community hospital. It has been
confirmed that the following services will operate out of the
extended hospital: podiatry, increased physiotherapy, ultrasound
service, and a heart failure service.
The PCT and its partners are currently identifying opportunities
for procedures that might be undertaken from an operating
theatre. The PCT is exploring the potential for transferring
outpatient services including minor surgery to CCH from acute
hospitals, using the expertise of GPs with a special interest.
The Council secured additional car parking space in the vicinity
of the hospital, increasing the provision to 44 spaces.
