Smokebusters

On Saturday 4 June, Broxbourne Council will be
launching a Broxbourne Smokebusters scheme; a new initiative aimed
at reducing the harm caused by second hand smoking in the home and
in family cars.
Parents can sign up to the scheme by
completing a pledge form, committing to make their homes and cars
smoke free. This will not only reduce the harm caused to children
and others by second hand smoke, but will also discourage young
people from starting to smoke and encourage adults to try to give
up. Participants will also have the option to receive a free home
fire safety check from the fire service as well as advice and
support needed to quit smoking from the NHS stop smoking
service.
