Affordable housing development
What is affordable housing?
Affordable housing includes social rented homes owned by
housing associations and intermediate housing such
as 'Rent to Homebuy' and 'Shared Ownership'. Affordable homes
are provided at sub-market prices, and usually restricted to
specified types of household.
Who qualifies for affordable housing?
Affordable Housing is let to people on the Council's housing
register and transfer lists. Priority is given to people living or
working in the Borough.
