Walking is a great way to meet new people and it will benefit your health and wellbeing.
Broxbourne Council supports two walking programmes - Walking for Health and Guided Walks. Health Walks are free and are easier, low key walks which progress to longer, more difficult terrain. The Guided Walks are for more experienced walkers; they go further afield and there is a small charge to take part.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of a walk, if possible. Most walks begin and end at a refreshment point and you are welcome to stay and chat.
Alternative Walking Groups/Clubs
The Community Development Team, in partnership with England Netball, will be delivering walking netball sessions from Thursday 3 May.
Walking Netball is designed for those that have been injured or perhaps not able to run quite so much. It's an opportunity to enjoy netball without having to run! The sessions are fun and friendly and all about having a good time, meeting some new people whilst keeping active.
The sessions will take place every Thursday at 6.30pm on the newly laid Goffs-Churchgate Academy netball courts. The cost per session is £4.
