Walking for health

Walking is a great way to meet new people and it will benefit your health and wellbeing.

Broxbourne Council supports two walking programmes - Walking for Health and Guided Walks. Health Walks are free and are easier, low key walks which progress to longer, more difficult terrain. The Guided Walks are for more experienced walkers; they go further afield and there is a small charge to take part.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of a walk, if possible. Most walks begin and end at a refreshment point and you are welcome to stay and chat.

Alternative Walking Groups/Clubs

Nordic Walking Group
Nordic walking is a suitable, effective and an enjoyable fitness session for all ages and abilities and is one of the best cardiovascular and toning exercises there is. All equipment is provided and the walks will be suitable for all ages and abilities, all you need is sensible footwear and outdoor clothing.

Cost: £5 per session
Cheshunt Walking Football Club
Cheshunt Walking football Club has been formed to help over 50s get back into fitness and enjoy the beautiful game once more. The club is for both social and competitive play, playing their games in the Southern National League. 
When: Every Tuesday and Thursday

Cost: £3 per session
