YC Herts

YC Herts provides youth work, information, advice, guidance and support for young people aged 13 and 19 (up to 25 for young people with learning disabilities). It also provides support for young people leaving care, up to the age of 21, through the YC Herts One Stop Shops.

YC Herts - Cheshunt One Stop Shop

Monday - Friday, 2-5pm, 178 Crossbrook Street, Waltham Cross, EN8 8JY.

No appointment needed. Advice on; Youth work projects  employment and education  training and apprentices  benefits  health issues  self-esteem and confidence  smoking drug and alcohol support  pregnancy testing (Mon and Thurs) and pregnancy advice and chlamydia tests.

C-Card scheme (free condoms)  computers and printing  volunteering opportunities  confidential chat and support on a wide range of topics including sexual health and information.

Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm H.Y.H are an independent registered charity, established in 1998, to help young people secure and maintain appropriate accommodation by providing information, support and help in a crisis. H.Y.H works with other agencies throughout Hertfordshire.

Housing Needs Service

The Housing Needs Service at Broxbourne Council provides advice and assistance to people aged over 16 who have housing difficulties. Information can be given on a range of issues and referrals can be made to a number of other agencies if necessary.

Hertfordshire Stop Smoking Service

The Hertfordshire Stop Smoking service has a range of support options across Hertfordshire. These can be accessed in a range of venues including health centres, pharmacies, GP surgeries, community centres and others.
