The 25-metre deck level swimming pool and learner pool at Grundy Park Leisure Centre provide a safe, clean and friendly environment for all ages and abilities.


The John Warner Sports Centre - 01992 445375

The state of the art stainless steel swimming pool at The John Warner Sports Centre provides a full range of activities in a safe, clean environment.

The pools are supervised by Royal Life Saving Society qualified lifeguards. The pools offer a variety of different sessions to improve your water skills or you can simply turn up for public swims.


Baby-friendly pool approved. To assist centre staff in maintaining health, safety and cleanliness standards, pushchairs are no longer allowed to be taken into the changing areas, please use the buggy park provided.


Child supervision
Children must be accompanied by a competent adult swimmer (over 16 years) in the water, according to the following ratios:

  • 0-3 years one adult to one child
  • 4-7 years one adult to two children
  • 8 years+ competent swimmers are able to swim on their own. Please ask at reception for a school holiday swim timetable.

 

Timetable Information
Last ticket issued 30 minutes before the end of the session.

  • During school holidays the pool programme will differ.
  • During the Adult Lane Swim session marked (one), the learner pool will be open to children under the age of eight years, providing a competent adult swimmer accompanies them.
  • During the sessions marked (two), the swimming pool will be closed for public swimming.
  • During the lesson session marked (three), the learner pool and the shallow end of the main pool will be closed.  A double swim lane will be made available for public swimming.
  • During the Swim Club session marked (four), the learner pool and a double swim lane will be available for public swimming.
  • During school holidays the JWSC Monday and Thursday Aqua Aerobics is unfortunately cancelled due to pool space.
