Swim 4 Fitness Scheme
A new
swimming initiative is being launched at Grundy Park Leisure Centre
in Cheshunt. Research has shown that swimmers often don’t have much
fun and their swim sessions are often unstructured, unlike gym
users who will have a training programme to follow. Zoggs
have introduced the Swim4fitness® brand in order to help swimmers
to have a clearer structure to their swim sessions and provide them
with guidance and challenges, to enable them to reach new goals and
provide motivation, to make swimming a more enjoyable way of
keeping fit.
As part of the sessions, waterproof swim cards
will be available at the poolside which will provide programmes
suitable for beginners, intermediates and advanced. Two dedicated
swim coaches will be available on poolside for the first few
sessions and all lifeguards are fully trained in the programme.
Participants in the scheme are invited to
register on the Zoggs website. This will provide
interactive information including free online membership, a logbook
to keep swimming records, a personalised ‘My Swim4fitness®’ area
with progress charts for you to record your achievements.
Challenges are set to enable you to move to the next levels. The
free membership also includes a bi-monthly newsletter with tips/
product info/ competitions etc, email prompts and a dedicated
Swim4fitness® team to answer all questions.
The initiative will be launched on 21 May from
10.30 am to 1.30 pm and will then be available every day from
12.30pm to 1.30pm, apart from Mondays which will be from 12.30pm to
2pm. The scheme is free to join for those aged over 16, however the
swim sessions are normal swim prices for those aged under 60 and
free to over 60 year olds.
Zoggs swim accessories are available to buy
from reception. For information on this scheme or any other
activities/events at Grundy Park Leisure Centre please call 01992
