Swim 4 Fitness Scheme
Swim4fitness® sessions are being held at Grundy Park
Leisure Centre in Cheshunt.
Research has shown that swimmers often don’t
have much fun and their swim sessions are usually unstructured,
unlike gym users who will have a training programme to
follow. Zoggs have introduced the Swim4fitness® brand in order
to help swimmers have a clearer structure to their sessions
and to offer guidance and set challenges to enable them to
reach new goals. The scheme aims to provide motivation
and make swimming a more enjoyable way of keeping fit.
As part of the sessions waterproof swim cards
will be available at the poolside and will provide programmes
suitable for beginners, intermediates and advanced. Two dedicated
swim coaches will be available at the poolside for the
first few sessions and all lifeguards are fully trained in the
programme.
Participants in the scheme are invited to
register on the Zoggs website. This will provide
interactive information including free online membership, a logbook
to keep swimming records, a personalised ‘My Swim4fitness®’ area
with progress charts to record achievements. Challenges are set to
enable you to move to the next levels. The free membership also
includes a bi-monthly newsletter with tips, product info,
competitions, email prompts and a dedicated Swim4fitness® team to
answer questions.
The scheme is free to join for those aged 16
and over with the participant paying normal swim
prices for the sessions.
