The aim of our Bourne2Swim brand is to provide a safe, clean and
welcoming environment to enable individuals participating in the
scheme to have fun, develop aquatic skills and to improve their
quality of life through physical exercise and social interaction.

Enrollment is now taking place for the next 11 week swimming
lesson course which commences in January 2010:
Find the perfect class for you:
Parent and Baby 1
Parents and babies of 6-18 months, or older babies who are
afraid of, or who have not been in the water before.
Parent and Baby 2
Parents and babies of 19-36 months.
Tadpoles
Children aged three to school age who are not confident in the
water and may need armbands.
Frogs
Children aged three to school age who no longer need
armbands and are confident in the water.
Beginners
School age children who may wear armbands if necessary.
Intermediates
Children who are able to swim at least five metres on their
front and back, able to jump in and are confident in water.
Improver 1
Children who are able to swim 25 metres minimum, front crawl,
back crawl, attempt breast stroke and are confident in deep
water.
Improver 2
Children who are able to swim 100 metres minimum in all three
strokes and have knowledge of butterfly.
Advanced
Children who are able to swim 200 metres in all four strokes
with good technique.
Swim Trainer
Competent swimmer (non-competitive), good technique in all four
strokes.
Junior Lifesaving
Grundy Park Leisure Centre
Children must be able to swim 800 metres.
The course covers First Aid, Personal Survival and Rescue
Techniques.
One-to-one lessons (junior/adult)
