Our Bourne2swim brand is to provide a safe, clean and welcoming
environment to enable individuals participating in the Scheme to
have fun, develop aquatic skills and to improve their quality of
life through physical exercise and social interaction. Why not

Adult Swimming
Adult swimming courses are available for non-swimmers and for
those wishing to improve their style and stamina.
Please enquire at reception for details. Advance booking is
highly recommended as the courses are extremely popular and spaces
are limited.
All lessons are taught by Amateur Swimming Association (ASA)
qualified teachers, in line with the ASA National Teaching Plan,
working towards ASA proficiency badge schemes.
Parent & Baby 1
Parents and babies of 6-18 months, or older babies who are
afraid of, or who have not been in the water before.
Parent & Baby 2
Parents and babies of 19-36 months.
Tadpoles
Children aged three to school age who are not confident in the
water and may need armbands.
Frogs
Children aged three to school age who no longer need
armbands and are confident in the water.
Beginners
School age children who may wear armbands if necessary.
Intermediates
Children who are able to swim at least five metres on their
front and back, able to jump in and are confident in water.
Improver 1
Children who are able to swim 25 metres minimum, front crawl,
back crawl, attempt breast stroke and are confident in deep
water.
Improver 2
Children who are able to swim 100 metres minimum in all three
strokes and have knowledge of butterfly.
Advanced
Children who are able to swim 200 metres in all four strokes
with good technique.
Swim Trainer
Competent swimmer (non-competitive), good technique in all four
strokes.
Junior Lifesaving
Grundy Park Leisure Centre
Children must be able to swim 800 metres.
The course covers First Aid, Personal Survival and Rescue
Techniques.

School Holiday Crash Course:
- 27 – 31 October half term (5 day crash course)
The crash courses provide an excellent opportunity for children
of all ages and abilities to develop their swimming skills. The
holiday crash courses are
available at The John Warner Sports Centre and Grundy Park Leisure
Centre and the categories include Tadpoles, Frogs, Beginners and
Intermediates.
Improver only at Grundy Park Leisure Centre.

Scuba Diving
The John Warner Sports Centre
2DiVE4 Scuba Diving Centre conduct the full range of scuba
diving courses from beginner right through to Instructor level.
They run Try Dive sessions (£25) at The John Warner Sports Centre
every other Sunday morning at 10.30am which can be booked in
advance by calling 08700 502254. If you would like to get fully
certified then the PADI Open Water Diver Course (£389) is run
over five days with one on one supervision on all open water
dives. Diving dates:

PADI scuba diving courses using the
latest modern diving equipment. Take a try dive with us every
Sunday 2-4pm. Scuba for all ages from eight years upwards £15.
Full open water course leading to PADI qualification £275.
Speciality courses for those who have already achieved their open
water course.
Prices vary depending on the
speciality chosen. Every Sunday 2-4pm.
Scuba diving parties, groups and fun

Emergency First Aid Course (EFR)
