The Tudor and Early
Stuarts
Saturday 21 April - Saturday 30 June

The Tudor and early Stuart age was a period of
great change and development, not only in religion, but also in the
arts, sciences, politics and fashion. This exhibition features a
number of important local history connections such as the
magnificent houses of Theobalds Palace, Hill Hall and Hatfield
House, as well as influential local families, like the Marmaduke,
Denny and Heneage families. Also showcased are the remarkable
stories of Tudor monarchs, as well as Tudor exploration, fashion
and entertainment, revealing what life was like during this
remarkable time in history.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a range
of Tudor drop in activities and events including a day of Tudor Music on Saturday 2 June 2012, with
musician Richard York.
This exhibition is a touring exhibition
produced in partnership with Epping Forest District Museum and
