Four of Broxbourne's parks have been
awarded the prestigious Green Flag or Green Pennant for
2009/2010.
Cedars
Park, Cheshunt Park and
Cheshunt Cemetery have been
awarded Green Flag, and Wormley Top
Field has been awarded Green Pennant, the standard for
community-managed Open Spaces.
Broxbourne Council
subscribes to greenSTAT, a park user feedback system set up by
GreenSpace, a registered charity working to improve parks and green
spaces by raising awareness, involving communities, and creating
skilled professionals. To register your comments about the

The Council has published a booklet with full details of all the
parks, playgrounds and open spaces available to the public within
the Borough of Broxbourne.
Our Standards
- Play areas will be inspected regularly and maintained to the
International Standard (BSEN)
- Flower/shrub beds will be maintained to be tidy, litter and
weed free
- Trees will be inspected regularly to ensure they are safe
- We will remove litter and empty the litter bins daily in our
busiest parks, and weekly in smaller parks
- We will develop and operate an events calendar to encourage
local communities to use, benefit from and appreciate the
parks
- We will respond to your enquiries quickly and efficiently at
least to the Council’s corporate standard.
