Benefits of having an allotment
More people are taking an interest in the kind of food they eat.
An allotment allows you to grow and eat fresh fruit and vegetables.
It is also an enjoyable and rewarding pastime with the added bonus
of regular exercise in the fresh air. Tending an allotment can
provide an excellent means of getting away from it all and provides
a good opportunity to meet new friends.
How much does it cost?
The cost of renting an average sized plot 2008/2009 is
£44.00 per year, or £26.00 per year for OAPs. Smaller sized plots
are also available at a reduced cost. Please contact the Council on

information.
